RootsWeb postings on world connect appear to have this Richard incorrect. The postings show this Richard to be the son of Thomas Campe(1507-1560) & Joan Boreham. I just completed transcribing two wills, the 1st is a Richard Campe d.1584 of "Snowes" obviously the son of Thomas & Joan since Snowes was willed to Richard, his wife's name was Elizabeth and daughters Mary & Elizabeth (no sons mentioned in his will). 2nd Richard Campe will dated 1585 is the one we all know, who's wife is Magdalen Hall with sons Robert, William Francis & Richard and daughter Elizabeth. This Richard also owned a house & land but not "Snowes" which holds the key. My conclusion is that the postings are in error including my own genealogy records.
I believe this Richard who married Magdalen may be the son of John b. 1505. If any one has better information please let me know, but I have found wills to be pretty reliable.
