Harry E. Camp
Harry E. Camp, 69,
of Erie, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday,
May 18, 2008 in Chicago.
He joins his wife of 37 years, Margaret Winek Camp.
He was also preceded in death
by an infant daughter, Kelly
and his brother, William.
Born in Erie on December 30, 1938,
he was the son of the late Harry and Bernice Mentley Camp. Harry is survived by his son, Craig Camp and wife Shellie of Jefferson Mass.,
a daughter Kim Michael and her husband Ray of Fairview,
and two sons Kevin Camp ,
and Keith Camp both of Erie.
He is also survived by his brother, Brance
and his wife Mary Ellen of Girard,
several in-laws, nieces and nephews.
He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Shawn,
Amanda, Justin
and Seth Camp,
Matthew, Patrick
and Katie Michael.
He was his grandchildren’s greatest fan
and loved to attend their activities.
Harry was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School,
class of 1958.
Following a 30 year career with C.A. Curtze,
Harry owned the Colony Pub and Grille.
He will be greatly missed by many dedicated
employees and customers.
Harry’s many interests included traveling
both locally and abroad,
racquetball at the downtown YMCA,
fishing, hunting, biking and most of all,
laughing with the many friends he loved so dearly.
His sense of humor, his kindness and his generosity to everyone he encountered, will long be remembered. Friends and family may call at the Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, Inc. 2502 Sassafras St. Erie, PA 16502 on Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and are invited to a service there on Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at St. George Church at 10:15 a.m. Burial will be private.
