Hello,
I am a descendent of George Camp (aka Kemp) and Nettie May of Stevensburg, Culpeper, VA. They had several children, Wesley (Mattie), George Jr. (Bess), Sherman (Abbie), Irvin (Itiitia), Ralph (Norma), Nannie(Hume), Ethel (Thomas), William Judson(Sarah Brown), (Lillian Foster), Obadiah, Clarence(Olive Lester). I have included their spouse’s names in parentheses. Other names of descendents include Tyler, Rhodes, Beverly and Corbin. The cities of Richardsville and Beckley are also mentioned.
I was able to first locate the family in the 1880 Census. I am looking forward to locating anyone with additional information. The family is of mixed heritage. George Camp (Kemp) owned 48 plus acres that were sold in 1977 with a portion sold to Edgar J. Weedon.
