A poster from 2005 wrote that she had a death certificate on Stephen that read James and Comfort Camp as parents, but the only Comfort Camp that I come up with from NJ (from the same area as Stephen) is too young to be his mother (b. 1833). I'm thinking maybe it is a sister or a place of birth or death (Camp Comfort?). I think there was a place near Washington's Crossing (near Trenton), which is near Burlington County, called Camp Comfort. One mystery about Stephen is though, he always had a woman with him named Delilah who is about 20 years older than he. She had 3 different last names throughout the federal censuses. 1850-Crammer, 1860-Osborn, 1870-Jordan. I'm 99% sure this is the same person. Also, I believe in the 1840 census she is there also but I don't think it posted names of people, just age range, and if I remember correctly he stated he had a female living with him that was in her age range. I think this may be his mother?
