NORWICH: Alice Madeline "Bean" Camp, 85, of Norwich, Ohio passed away at 10:10 A.M. Sunday , July 14, 2013, at Red Carpet Health Care, Cambridge, Ohio.
She was born May 15, 1928, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Monte and Emma Carlisle Peck.
She was a retired employee of Muskingum College Housekeeping Department and worked at Memorial Hall and the Manse.
She was a member of the Norwich Presbyterian Church and also attended the Westminster Presbyterian Church of New Concord.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends who fondly knew her as "Grandma Bean".
She was known for her quilting and her pies.
She is survived by her children, Dave Camp, Mary Lou (Ken) Neff, Bob (Lesa) Camp, Jim (Julie) Camp, and Janie (Mike) Moore; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Grace West; brother, Monte (Phyllis) Peck Jr.; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Happy.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, William R. "Bill" Camp; granddaughter, Samantha Madeline Camp; brothers, Harry Peck and Bob Peck; and sisters, Ruth Stemm and Gertie West.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, July 16, from 2 - 4 aand 6-8 P.M. at the Mock-Miller Funeral Home, 63 West Main Street, New Concord. OH.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 17, at the funeral home with Rev. Ellen Thomas officiating.
Burial will be in Norwich United Presbyterian Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church of your choice.
