We Russells are looking for the descendants of Wm Campbell and Martha Patsy Weeks Russell Campbell b. 1796 in Va.
We know that Wm. and Martha had a son in Tenn. in 1818 whom they named, James Clairborn. They migrated to Wisconsin, via Illinois where Martha's parents, Philip Russell b. 1765 in Lunenburg Va. and Elizabeth Stewart Russell b. 1771 in Va., had migrated after a 20 year stint in Montgomery County, Tenn.
Wm. and Martha moved to Platteville, Wisconsin, probably before 1820. They had another son also. ?
James Clairborn Campbell became a Dr. (m.1st ?2.Permelia Oliver), moved to St. Louis, Mo. where he had two dau. Virginia Campbell m. Frank Persons. Another dau. was Belle Campbell Kimball. I think James C. had a son named James Alexander.??who also became a Dr. in St. Louis.
Anyone knowing of these names please contact me at granmp30@madisoncounty.net. Thanks Sue
