My ggrandfather Antonio Di Girolamo(b.23 June 1834 )married Accursia Certa(b.25 Sept 1838) 11.11.1855 in Caltabellotta. Her parent's: Giuseppe & Giovanna Genova (m.16.Jan.1837); grandparent's Giuseppe & Accursia Scarpinato. She had 8 siblings-only 3 survived: Maria (b.1.dec.1840) married Giuseppe Angello 30.Nov.1861, Giuseppe (b.22.May1843), Giuseppa (b.22 Apr.1852), all in Caltabellotta. Grandparent's of Giovanna Genova (maternal): Giuseppe Aquilina & Antonia DiCampo(circa 1740s)-Caltabellotta. Any info appreciated.

DOD Identifies Army Casualties

The Department of Defense announced today the deaths of five soldiers who were supporting Operation New Dawn.

They died June 6 in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked their unit with indirect fire. They were assigned to the1st Battalion, 7th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kan.

Spc. Emilio J. Campo Jr., 20, of Madelia, Minn.;

Salvatore is pictured in the yearbook of the 422nd Technical School Squadron at Amarillo Army Air Field in Amarillo, Texas. The 422nd produced mechanics and technicians to maintain the Flying Fortresses. I'm not kin but thought this might help someone researching family.

My father's father was from Siclily not sure the area his name was Philip. He came over with his wife Lucy she was from Naplas I believe in the early 1900's.

I don't recognize any of those names. my great uncle were Frank, Snooky (dang it, my mind draws a blank right now. there were several though) my grandfather is Simon. my great Aunts are Rose and Mary. I think there was one more girl. not quite sure. I plan on going to Sicily in September to see if any Campo's are left there

My grandfather and his brothers came from Menfi in Sicily. They came to the US around 1903. My grandfather's name was Giacomo and his brothers were Antonino and Luciano. I am also studying that side of the family so any info would be appreciated.

My name is Stella Maris Prinzivalli. My grandfather Gaetano Prinzivalli and my father Vicenso Prinzivalli were born in Caltavultura, Palermo, Sicily Italy.
My grandafather was a soldier in the first WW in 1915 and died in 1920. My grandmother Grazia Rizzo emmigrated to Argentina with my father Vicenzo and 4 grils.
I am looking for cusins I am sure that I have more family.

I'm not researching this family myself (I'm not related) but do you have full access to ancestry.com?

One tidbit you may want to see is his WWI Draft Registration. I'm assuming it is him because the birthdate is the same, but the first name is JACOB.

It's under World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918 > New York > Brooklyn City > 70 > Draft Card C

It doesn't give you THAT much info, but it is interesting to see, I think!

I have heard of Uncle Chig and Mutt also. If Frank Campo was your great grandfather and mine, that must mean we are related. My grandfather was Roy Campo. A brother to Chig and Mutt. I have heard there were nine boys in the family and they always had a ball team. If you have any more information on the family, please let me know.. When I was in my teens, we visited some family in California. Seems like we visited Uncle Chig's family there???

Here is some census info in case you don't already have it since your message is from last year. If you search on the Jarrett surname page and search for Campo you will find info on the obit for Samuel(Sam) Jarrett which lists his parents as George W Jarrett and Catherine Wyatt.

Hello My father Joseph Campo died when I was an infant. I have never know ANY of that side of my family. His parents were Anthony and Ida. In the 30-s they lived in Conneticut. He had 2 sisters, and 2 brothers. One was John, one sister was Lilly. Any info. would be great.

My Guerra's are in New Orleans, Louisiana and St. Bernard Parish (right outside of Orleans). Everything points that they came from the Canary Islands and I'm hoping to get some birth/death/marriage certificates that will get me further. My father would likely be able to identify if it's one of our Guerra's. I'll try to get the photo's and scan them to you. There were quite a few. Some were written in Spanish.

Since the Ambrosethe name is so unusual, I've been searching for Cora Ambroseth. The spelling is most likely AMBROSETH because I can find two by that spelling in the census indices. A single male in Santa Barbara County in the 1910 census and a single male in New York in 1870, born in Lombardy.

Too many Guerras to find Carolina de Guerra any time soon. Would you recognize your Carolines if you saw them? I've scanned the photograph and can forward it to you.

My great aunt and great grandmother were both Caroline's. The aunt would have been born around the 1920's so it plays into the time span for the two of them. I haven't been able to trace much for my main line (Guerra) but no Campo's with the little that I have.

This is odd. I have an old photograph (probably 1920's) of four young women. I'm attempting to identify them (hoping that I find them in Los Angeles).

Their names are: Cora Ambrosethe (I can't find that name anywhere! so it may be misspelled); Margherita Herrera (Margarita or Marguerita?); Ruth Campo and Mme Caroline De Guerra.

I believe they belonged to a lady named Estela but unsure of last name. She is survived by her husband Adriano Muniz; a son, Eddie Muniz; two daughters, Miss Elvira Muniz, and Mrs. C. S. Garcia, jr., a sister, Mrs. Maria Cueto, all of Tampa, and two brothers, Francisco and Constante Campo, both of Spain. Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 5 o'clock at the residence.
