I'm not researching this family myself (I'm not related) but do you have full access to ancestry.com?

One tidbit you may want to see is his WWI Draft Registration. I'm assuming it is him because the birthdate is the same, but the first name is JACOB.

It's under World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918 > New York > Brooklyn City > 70 > Draft Card C

It doesn't give you THAT much info, but it is interesting to see, I think!

Here is some census info in case you don't already have it since your message is from last year. If you search on the Jarrett surname page and search for Campo you will find info on the obit for Samuel(Sam) Jarrett which lists his parents as George W Jarrett and Catherine Wyatt.

1860 NC Gaston
James Wyatt 46 NC
Jane " 45 NC
Catharine " 17 NC
Elizabeth 16 NC

1870 NY Genesee Co Batavia
Camp John 30 brick maker Luxemberg (misspelled as Camp)

1870 NC Gaston Dallas
Wiatt Jane 50 NC
" Catharine 25 NC
" Elizabeth 23 NC
" Samuel 9 NC
" Columbus 8 NC
" Charlie 4 NC
(this is why it was so hard to find them - Wyatt misspelled and Catherine and the kids under her maiden name)

1880 NC Gaston W Dallas
Campo John 37 stone mason Holland Holland Holland
Campo Catherine 27(wrong age) NC NC NC
Campo James F 7 son NC HOL NC
Jarrett Samuel 19 stepson NC NC NC (aka Sam John Jarrett)
Jarrett Charley 13 stepson NC NC NC (aka Charles Holland Jarrett)

I hope this is helpful. This is not part of my family.

My Guerra's are in New Orleans, Louisiana and St. Bernard Parish (right outside of Orleans). Everything points that they came from the Canary Islands and I'm hoping to get some birth/death/marriage certificates that will get me further. My father would likely be able to identify if it's one of our Guerra's. I'll try to get the photo's and scan them to you. There were quite a few. Some were written in Spanish.

Where were your Guerras living around that time. I'm finding Guerra and De Guerra

Since the Ambrosethe name is so unusual, I've been searching for Cora Ambroseth. The spelling is most likely AMBROSETH because I can find two by that spelling in the census indices. A single male in Santa Barbara County in the 1910 census and a single male in New York in 1870, born in Lombardy.

Too many Guerras to find Carolina de Guerra any time soon. Would you recognize your Carolines if you saw them? I've scanned the photograph and can forward it to you.

My great aunt and great grandmother were both Caroline's. The aunt would have been born around the 1920's so it plays into the time span for the two of them. I haven't been able to trace much for my main line (Guerra) but no Campo's with the little that I have.

This is odd. I have an old photograph (probably 1920's) of four young women. I'm attempting to identify them (hoping that I find them in Los Angeles).

Their names are: Cora Ambrosethe (I can't find that name anywhere! so it may be misspelled); Margherita Herrera (Margarita or Marguerita?); Ruth Campo and Mme Caroline De Guerra.

Are the Campos and De Guerra connected?

I'm looking for information about the family of my great-great grandparents, John and Catherine Campo. John was a Dutch immigrant who ended up in NC when the Civil War ended. He married Catherine Jarrett, a local girl. I want to know if Jarrett is her maiden name or the name of a first husband. Any information would be most helpful.

Hello,
My name is Bonnie Guerra McLean and though I don't know that these pictures belong to Campo family I do know that Maria Eugenia Campo was a name with these pictures. I believe they belonged to a lady named Estela but unsure of last name. Most pictures were addressed to her and my father found this picture book when he was child/teen and hoped to find the owner but over the years has forgotten until my research for my family tree stumbled over them. They date from the late 40s to late 50s and some names listed are (with no surname): Aida, Estella, ?Beatriz?, ?Olgusta?, --Sylvia ?Figueroa?, Maria Eugenia Campo M.
