AUSTINTOWN – Services will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the McCauley Funeral Home celebrated by the Reverend John Keehner for Anthony J. “Tony” Camuso, 79, who passed away Sunday morning at his residence with his loving family at his side.
Mr. Camuso was born June 10, 1932, in Hubbard, Ohio a son of George and Marie Antionette Aducci Camuso, and was a lifelong member of the community.
He was the founder, owner and operator of Tony Camuso Concrete for many years and retired in 1989.
Mr. Camuso was a member of St. Columba Cathedral, an avid bowler, golfer and card player, enjoyed traveling and playing his accordion with his band, was well known locally and volunteered playing his music for many non profit organizations.
He sponsored many local sport teams such as bowling, slow pitch softball and baseball teams.
He was involved with the shrine in Kilgore through monetary contributions and construction.
Mr. Camuso leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of over 60 years, the former Jean DiLallo, whom he married Oct. 13, 1951; son George (Julie) Camuso of Canfield, Ohio; daughters Marie (Larry) Camuso Speelman of Akron, Ohio and Patricia Camuso of Mineral Ridge, Ohio; brothers, Gene (Martha) Camuso and Pasquale (Carol) Camuso; sisters Mary Sassone and Virginia Trolio; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Beside his parents, Mr. Camuso was preceded in death by a sister, Lena Papa.
The family has requested that contributions be made to Southern Care Hospice, 5401 Ashley Circle Suite E., Youngstown, OHIO 44515.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
