"CANARD, ERIKA SCHWARZ (Age 94)
Formerly of Alexandria, VA, peacefully departed this life on Sunday, December 4, 2005. She resided with her daughter, Elizabeth Storck in Round Hill, VA. Born on September 23, 1911 in Stuttgart, Germany to the late Ernst and Luise Schwarz. She was predeceased by her husband, Cubie R. Canard. She is survived by one son, Cubie A. (Geneva) Canard of Hague, VA; three daughters, Bernice M. (Richard) Spalding of Warrenton, VA, Erika Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Storck of Round Hill, VA, and Shirley A. (Garnett) Wooten of Jacksonville, FL; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She retired from First Virginia Bank in 1976 and enjoyed spending time with the family and friends, sewing and making crafts.
A Memorial Service will be held at Lincolnia United Methodist Church, 6335 Little River Turnpike, Alexandria, VA 22312 on Saturday, December 10, 2005 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lincolnia United Methodist Church or Round Hill Volunteer Fire Department, Round Hill, VA 20141-0008.
