I need help in locating the family and any recordsof John Canine/Conine. John CAnine was b. in NY, according to a daughter's 1850 OH census information. His tombstone date says he died aged 79 in 1848, which means he would have been born abt 1769. There seems to have been one John CAnine in NY census of 1790. In OH, he is listed in one tax record as John COnine, but CAnine in other records. He m. Catherine X, b. in NJ. Their oldest known daughter, Esther, was also b. in NY in 1793. Other daughters were Jane, Elizabeth (Betsy), Anna, Rachel, and Phebe Ann. The Canines were in OH by 1810, in Franklin Co. The area where they lived became Delaware Co. and they lived in Orange Twp.

Esther's daughter was Catherine Canine Faulkner. Daughter Jane m. Amasa Jones; daughter Elizabeth (Betsy) m. Joseph Pool; daughter Anna m. (1) Cheney (2) Mather; Rachel m. ... Reed; daughter Phebe Ann m. Minor T. Vining. Any and all help would be appreciated.
