Hi,

I have information on the Canon family in Pennsylvania.

My relative is John Canon born sometime after 1730 in Pennsylvania. He died on January 1, 1794. He was married to a woman named Martha who died October 18, 1798.

They had 10 children. Mary Canon, James Canon, Abby Canon, Ann Canon, John Canon Jr., Job Canon, Joseph Canon, Samuel Canon, Benjamine Canon, and Martha Canon.

My relative was child #5 John Canon Jr. He was bord May 8, 1764 in Pennsylvania and died June 9 1776 in College Hill, Mississippi. He was married to Mary (Polly) Scott Moore who was born June 9 1776 and died December 26 1819. They were married on December 28th 1791.

Their son, Moses Moore Harvey Canon was born on March 14, 1807 in Mecklenberg, North Carolina, died July 10, 1874 in Marshall County, Mississiipi. He was married to Eliza Houston who was born April 2, 1819 and died in Marshall County, Mississippi on Aughst 3, 1897. They were married on August 5, 1839.

Thier son Frank Whitfield Canon was born November 26, 1853 in Marshall County, Mississippi and died April 12, 1921 in Senatobia, Mississippi. He was married to Mary Lidia Robinson who was born on September 26, 1855 in Tate County, Mississippi and died on June 12, 1936 in Senatobia, Mississippi. They were married on November 9, 1874.

Their daughter, my great grandmother was Pearl Canon. She was born August 16, 1880 in Marshall County, Mississippi and Married Bedford Forrest Floyd in Como, Mississippi on May 25, 1899. He was born in September 1877 and died October 31, 1949. She died in Gulfport, Mississippi when I was a boy.

I really hope that there is a link there somewhere.
