I grew up in Biddeford,Maine and married early 60's and moved away. My maternal side included Cantara,,,and there are many of them in Biddeford-Saco area. A great resource of information is the MacArthur Library in Biddeford I bet if you could get there you would be able to find information. There is a group that does Franco-American research out of that library, call the library and they can put you in contact with that group. Good luck.......
