Hello Long Lost Cousins,

My Cantleys moved from Aberdeenshire to Northern Ireland around 1700 and I have been trying to find the direct connection to the right Cantley family in Scotland. I would greatly appreciate all information anyone would send me, especially from the 1400s and 1700s. My address is vcantley@comcast.net
My Cantleys in Northern Ireland were farmers and names were; John, George, Robert, William, Samuel, and James. Later there was a Hugh and Joseph. Sometimes Cantley was spelled Kantley, Kentley, Cantlay, Cantly, and variations on the theme.
My great great grandfather was Joseph Cantley born about 1790 and married to Anne Donaldson.
