While browsing thru some of these records, I have come across a number of entries in vol. 148 (births). These all occur in the town of Rostejn (Bohemia). The link to the records would be - https://www.familysearch.org/learn/wiki/en/Czech_Republic_Ch...

The entries appear on pages 95, 101, 104, 105, 108, 113, 115, 118, 121, 125, 127, 132.
These are in the town of Spacice - 175, 181, 186 & 191.
I haven't gone thru this whole volumn yet, so this may be a partial listing.
For those not familiar with this site, you download the respective volumn and then look at it as time permits. Some of these can be quite lenghty.

I'm unable to locate the link to that download at this time. That's what happens when you have a crash, ect., ect. Perhaps someone else has the link??

I am descended from the Divoky line in Saline County Nebraska - John Divoky b. 1855. I would love to have a copy of Mary Lampman's book - I can't seem to find a copy on my own. If you are willing to copy it for me somehow, that would be great and I would be happy to reimburse you.

Thanks
Tracy

Hello,
I would be interested in finding out whether the "Mr. and Mrs.Cap" in the photo to which you refer are my grandparents. They lived in Chicago,IL for many years after coming over from both Germany and Austria. They lived in Chicago (and also in a nearby suburb or two) for the better part of 40 years (early '30's through 1970 or so). Is there a way you could contact me to enable me to see the photo?
Many thanks,

Lynn Hoth
2809 Jill Dr.
Loveland, CO 80537
(505)480-2222

I have Jakub Cap married to Anna Divoky, June 30, 1874. Anna was the daughter of Tomas Divoky & Maria Kucharova. Jakub was the son of Kaspar Cap & Katerina Praseta.

Does this help? A cousin wrote a short genealogical book on the Divoky/Brezina line back in the 80's. I have a copy somewhere around here. Feel free to email me at missinu3400@yahoo.com if this helps. I have a bit more on the Divoky line but am always looking for more!

Mary Cap/Cop born about 1830 in Ohio?

Can any one help me with the following people?? David Miller (born July 22, 1827in OH - Died May 22, 1895 in SD) married a Mary Copp (born abt 1830) before 1850 probably in Ohio??. I think her mother was Sarah ( ) Cap/Cop born abt 1803 in PA??

They were found 1850 - Montgomery County, Jackson twp., OH
David Miller 23 OH (Student), Mary Miller 20 OH
In 1860 they were found 1860 - Miami County, Perry twp., Village of Stockdale, IN
David Miller 31 OH (Physician), Mary Miller 29 OH
Ellen 9 OH, George 7 OH, Milvina 4 IN, Sarah Cap / Cop 57 PA

I am assuming Mary died between 1860 and 1862. Milvina must have died between 1860 and 1870 (I had no idea about Milvina until I seen the 1860 census). I have no idea what happened to Sarah Cap/Cop.

In 1870 David had remarried to Sarah Jane Warner. and was found 1870 Census- Marshall County, West twp. P.O. - Plymouth, IN
David Miller 43OH (Physician), Sarah J. Miller 33 OH
George 17 OH, Laura 8 IN, Lizzie 6, Emma 2, William 7 mos.

Ellen may have been the Ellen Miller who married Jacob Burn in Marshall County in 1868.
George Miller married Sara Alice Holem in Marshall county, Indiana in 1883, shortly thereafter the George and the David Miller families moved to Brule County, South Dakota.

I was told that the Millers and Holem/Holms were of the Dunkard religion.
Any help on these people would be very much appreciated, I would be willing to share what I have on them.

Hello;

I noticed your message about Caps in Nebraska from Czech. We are starting to research my grandfather's Czech lineage, Charles Pospisil (1906-1981) and his mother's name was Anna Cap(Capova) (1868-1933).They were from Moravany,Czechoslovakia near Prague.
He moved to Chicago, but used to go visit relatives in Nebraska, which would have been about 1925-35.

If you run across any link to Pospisils in your research, I would appreciate hearing about it, as I do not have much info. about our Cap branch yet and I wondered if these were the same Caps.

Cap ancestors from Zebrak, Bohemia

Hello - My Great Grandfather, Josef Cap and earlier ancestors
were from Zebrak, Bohemia (about midway between Prague and Plzen). Josef moved to Detroit, Michigan in the latter part of the 1800s. If any of this sounds familiar, please e-mail me
at dhavlena@edcen.ehhs.cmich.edu
Josef and his wife Josephine (Spirochova) are buried in section 15 of Detroit's Evergreen Cemetery.
I have considerable Cap and related information I'd be glad to share. Thanks.
Dennis Havlena - northern Michigan
