Just came across your posting about John & Nancy Caple. Have you found further information. I'm particularly interested in knowing about John's origins and how he is related to the Phillipe and Barbary Caple family of Tioga (my direct ancestors).

I have a copy of Jessie Caple Meade's (my g-g-aunt) 1903 diary. She refers to Nancy & John Caple as Aunt Nancy and Daddy Caple, but I'm positive John Caple was not her father. Any light you can shed on this would be terrific.
