Death of Thomas Caple
Thomas Caple, a highly respected citizen died at the home of his son, William T. Caple who resides on Burnt Fork, on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 1906, at the advanced age of 80 years 1 month and 20 days, after an illness of six days, the result of a stroke of paralysis. Mr. Caple was born in Caplesville, Tenn., Jan 1, 1826. In 1881 he moved to Montana, locating in the Bitter Root valley. His wife died in August 1903. But one child was born to them, their son, William T. Caple, who remains to mourn the loss. The funeral services were held at the Methodist church South, Thursday afternoon, Feb 22, conducted by Rev. Mr. Flowers and Rev. Mr. Purnell.
