Hi, my name is Chris Capparell. Originally my name was Capparelli, but it was changed at Ellis Island. I am very curious about the meaning of the original name. I believe the name Smith refers to an ancestor's profession of being a blacksmith. I am curious about the equivalent for Capparelli. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Chris
