Carr well Czarnecki

I’ve get the message that earlier immigrants from Europe into the USA who have the difficult Polish family name Czarnecki have sometimes changed it into Carr [or Car] which sound familiar & is easier to spell for English spiking people, because the difficult name Czarnecki is telling them nothing! It would be very interesting to me now to find people that know something similar about his own ancestors?
