Hello,

I am very familiar with the family you speak of. Frank's name was FRANK CARCHIANI and he was born in Utica, NY in May 1928. His parents were Luigi Carchiani and Concetta Ambroselli. Frank married Mary Jane Ditano on September 1, 1951 in Utica, NY.

I know they had two sons named Frank Louis and David Leonard. My family is very familiar with this family. Please e-mail privately for more information.

Did they have a son, Sebastian? And a daughter who died at around 16 of meningitis? If so, Sebastian, known as Sam, came to Cleveland, married Nettie Sorge and had 3 children, Marianne, Raymond and Antoinette. Nettie was the great-grandmother of my two eldest daughters. She just passed away in April at age 96. Sam was killed in the 50's by his sister. I think her name might have been Rose.

i am trying to complete a family tree for my daughter, and if this is the right name. her grandmother was mary jane di tano later changed to marie, who married a frank carcione and they had 2 boys frank and david. he passed away when the boys were little, she later remarried and lived in florida, my husband was david and he was born april 24,1955 in utica new york, mary jane or marie passed away, so has great grandma di tano, she had shared her wedding and family pictures with me and was to pass it on for my daughter, some how the albums and photos and all information have been missing since her death, david and i are divorced,but we remain close, i have expressed my interest in trying to find this link of his family and my daughter, she's now 25 has family she has never known. as well as david or frank, he is a lawyer in belgium and was 5 when frank passed away. david was an infant, after franks death and when marie remaried she lost all contact with this family.

My great grandmother, Marianna Carcione came from Licata, Sicily (I think name originated from somewhere else, but not sure). She married Dominico Antonucci and they eventually came to Brooklyn NY.
