My grandfather Charles Hazen Card was born in Dorchester,NB in 1831. According to his marriage record, his parents were James Card and Mary Ann Purdy, both born in New Brunswick. Charles came to Calais, Maine and married Eliza Hannah Lamb there in 1853. He appears on the 1851 Census of Dorchester with his mother, a widow, Sarah Card. Sarah may have been a stepmother but we can find no other records for them. I would appreciater any help or lead that anyone could give me. Thank you.
