My wife Antonietta's maternal great-grandparents were Francesco Cardamone and Guiseppina (Josephine) Livoti. Their children Diego, Carmine, and Antonio (all born in Cosenza) settled in Chicago, except Antonio eventually moved to Whittier, California. Antonio married Antonietta ("Antonette") J. Grimaldi. They had Frank and Joe Cardamone, and my wife's mother Mary Rita Cardamone. They all lived in the Chicago area. Mary Cardamone married Alfonso Laudonio and lived in Los Angeles County and Orange County, where my wife grew up and where we now live.
