The message you posted refers to G Aunt Ester(maybe more great)whom I met in 1965. She arrived at her nephew's home, my Father, after she had "run away from home" and stayed with us for a while. Although I was about 17 at the time, I remember her well.

She would talk to me late at night(she worked the late shift) about members of the family. I wish I had paid closer attention. She had been there when my grandparent's were married. My grandparents are Rafael Cardenas Campos(born about 1880-D Aug 28, 1952) and Josefa Cavazos.

I noticed the picture you cite because the data I have has the same 1927 date(July 2). I have the parents as Maximo Cardenas and Ansena Barrera and the record sighned by R. C. Campos. R. C. Campos might be my father(Refugio Cavazos) or my grandfather(Rafael Cardenas) or my uncle(Rafael Cavazos). The birth date cited is March 19, 1853 and widowed by 1927. Do you know if she is the grandmother that took out the girls in 1914.

I am beginning to believe there were more that one Josefa Cardenas Campos.

Let me know if you do.

I am attempting to research my mothers family side. Most of her family has passed on early in their living years.
Mother: Irene Cardenas (Alvarado ? adopted?) Preciado. I have a tag name of Cialonza on the mothers side. But unabel to trace this.
Irene Married Robert Preceiado (circa early 1920's-30's) who then gave birth to Lydia and Rodney . I was advise my grandmother passed on when my mother was a juvenile (approx 1960's). My grandfather passed away in the early 1980's. I was told he was a fisherman in Alaska/Seattle. I do recall attending his funeral in Stockton, CA (where most of his family resides).

Cardenas born 1835 -Vera Cruz

I am looking for a male Cardenas (possibly Josep) Born in Vera Cruz in 1835 - he immigrated to Australia in 1856. Any ideas on how he got all the way over there would be appreciated. He changed his name to Joseph Knight-Smith at about the same time I believe. He is my Great, Great Grandfather and had 10 children. He was a hairdresser - barber.

Hi Natasha -

My name is Marisela R. Cardenas, I am from Fresno, CA and ran into this by accident and I have been told by my Father Ramiro Cardenas that we are related to Lazaro Cardenas. I know that my Grandfathers name is Jose Cardenas. That is all I know...he abandoned the family when my father was young. So it would not surprise me if he did make a new family somewhere else. I am very excited for any information you would have.
