He is listed near the name of my great great grandfather William H. Cardiff (b.6/25/1836d.12/25/1895). He also is buried in DeWitt County. William H. was born in Marion County, Ohio. According to the census data, William the elder was born in Maryland.

There is a William Cardiff household listed in the Talbot County, MD 1790 census. In the household is a man age 16 to 26 years old, a woman 16 to 26 years old, a boy 0 to 10 years old, and a girl 0 to 10 years old. Could this be my line? Who was his father?
