I am also researching the Cardin family history. My ggg grandfather was Russell S Carden (or Cardin) born 1839 Temmessee and died before 1920. He was married to Mary Williams and they have children Catharine, Martha Ann "Annie" John D, William E (my gg grandfather) , Thomas, Andrew Jackson, Mary "Mollie", Columbus "Lum" and Benjamin Harrison. All of these children were born in Arkansas with the exception of Catharine who was born in Georgia. Could this be part of the Cardin family history that you are researching, could William be a brother to Andrew? In 1910 William was in Oklahoma, Ottawa County, Peoria Township. I believe that he worked in the mines in the Picher, Oklahoma area, which borders that Oklahoma Kansas state borders, and Cardin, Oklahoma is located right next to Picher, Oklahoma.
