Our grandpa, Gerald, was born as "Gerardo" in Italy and his name was changed when they moved here. I have a quite extensive family tree on this site...maybe search for Katrina Cardin and you should find it. Everyone who is related to us who uses this site has known our grandpa as "Gerard" or "Gerardo."

They changed his name when they moved here.
