Hello, My grandfather was Benito Cardona Leija, he was born in Del Rio Tx, and was raised around the area of Sonora and Del Rio he is a War World II veteran, he raised most of his family in Sonora his mother Guadalupe Cardona Leija is buried in Sonora Tx, along with other family members, we dont know much about the Cardona family, but we do know that there were several Cardona in area, family moved and lost track of them,my father says he remembers going to Coahuila to visit family when he was a child, my grand fathers brother Marcelino Cardona also a World war II vet, and his sister Maria Cardona Leija are also buried in Sonora
on my grandmothers side we are related to the Flores's from Sonora, Tx. please contact me, I know theres a connection, leijamary@yahoo.com

Hello Hector, My great grandmother was a Cardona, her name was Guadalupe Cardona,and my grandfather was Benito Cardona Leija, dont know any of the Cardona families, I know she lived in Mexico, maybe some where around San Jose, Jalisco, Mx. Great-grand mother Guadalupe and great-grand father Preciliano Leija arrived in Del Rio, Tx in 1914, I would like to know about the info that you rec'd about your ancestors,my father says he remembers having Cardona family in Del Rio, but has not seen them since he was a child. i am looking for any info on Esther Cardona-DeLeon. Cardona is her maiden name, she was born in Tamaulapis, Mexico and Married a Frank DeLeon and she lived in Michigan. She was born 02 Dec 1901 and died 23 Sep 1999 in Michigan.

My Grand mother's name is Rosario Cardona Velez her ex husband (my granddad) was Lucas Velez Bonilla. they lived in Bronx New York were my grandpa worked in the railroad. They moved to Ohio and then back to Puerto Rico were the got divorce. My grandma still live in Ohio. Looking for info on Carmen & Ramon Cardona who lived on her brother's farm in Perchas 1 in 1930. They had a child Isolina around December 1925. Ramon's mom's maiden name was Gonzalez and he was born around 1893.

I am married to a descendant of Carmen's brother Luis Padua y Rivera.

I'm looking for further info on anyone that was from concepcion de oro zacatecas, with the last name Requenes. so far i know that my great grandads name was Cruz Requenes, and my grandads's name was Antionio Requenes. That same story is what my mother, Arsenia Cardona, tell us, about the two brothers. My grandfather was Agapito Cardona from Isabela, and my great-grandfather, Ricardo Cardona Velez. Sounds familiar?

Gabriel Cardona Jr. was my uncle and I was only 2 mos. old when he passed. He is a vietnam veteran that died in December of 1968. I know he had 2 children that lived with their mother in New York. I believe that they lived in Brooklyn, NY. He has a large family living in Chicago, Florida and Puerto Rico. Hoping to hear from my cousins. My Family is from that area of Mexico. My Great Grandfather was Pablo Cardona he married Clemencia Guevara, they lived in El Remelino Coahuila. A small town around 20 miles outside of Zaragoza Coah. They had 4 sons (one adopted) and 2 daughters.Cecilio (my Grandfather), Jose, Enocente, and Santiago (Lopez - adopted), I don' have the daughters names at this time. I know one had no children the other had several. The sons all had children. They spread out all thru West and South Texas.My Grandfather Cecilio married Maria Torres (from the same town I think) and together they had 7 children - Clemencia, Enrique, Angel, Pablo (my father), Edwina and Salvador. They were all raised in Sonora, Texas a small town on Interstate 10 (about 90 miles from the border. All but the 2 oldest served in the military (WW2). Enrique stayed in the army and retired as Lt. Col. My father Pablo also served in the Korean war. After the war they all moved and raised families in Houston Texas. Where most still live. All of them had children and growing up in Houston I had alot of cousins. We used to be the only Cardonas in the phone book for a long time (not anymore). My father Pablo married Herlinda Flores from Sonora and together they had 5 children of which I'm the youngest. Gloria Jean, Pablo Jr., Melinda, Anna Maria, and Rene' (me). My mother died when I was young and my father remarried with Enriqueta Alonzo from Zaragoza Coah. together they had one daughter Sandra G. Cardona. (and the beat goes on). I would love to make a web site with all the branches of this family tree (no time). God has been good to our family Praise HIS HOLY NAME!
I have alot of pictures. Let me know if you have any info about the origin of the CARDONA name where it actually started from.

Hi I am also a Cardona but as i was informed my grandfather was Juan bautista Cardona who was married to a Rosario rosario. As i was told they had 7 children (3 boys and 4 girls) but one of the boys died very early in life. Hi! My father was Raymond (Ramon) Cardona, son of Francisco Cardona and Seferina Pedrosa. I am his third child, and youngest of 2 daughters. My father passed away in 1976, and we lost touch with all family members at that time, though up to that point my father didn't do a great job of getting us acquainted with the extended family, and it is extensive, with 11 siblings. I never met my grandfather, and met my grandmother once in Sept of 1974 in Gallup, prior to my dad's death. Someone in our family line has posted a beautiful tree on One World Tree, but of course for my father's family there is no info, and there is no contact information. I am interested in chatting with any family in this direct line. I am looking forward to hearing from any aunts, uncles, and cousins. My sister looks just like Marcella (she named a child Raymond after my father), and is named after Cynthia Garcia (Ramona's daughter). I look forward to your replies. Thanks!

Dont know any of the names besides Hydee (thats my name) and I was born in California, but my fathers name was Eugene Crosby, but he was adopted, and I was told he found his real family shortly after my birth in 1971
