My grandfather, Giuseppe Joseph Orsillo (b. 1888 in Pietrelcina) was married to (first wife) Dolores/Addorolata Orlando (b. 1893 in Pietrelcina). They met in Flushing, Queens, NY, where both families settled. Dolores' parents were Angelina Cardone (b. 1867 in Pietrelcina) and Rocco Orlando (b. abt 1867 in Pietrelcina). Angelina's parents were Anthony and Angelina Cardone. My grandfather was the son of Nicholas Orsillo (b. 1860) of nearby Pago Veiano and Anna Scocca (b. 1862) of Pietrelcina. I visited Pietelcina a few years ago and saw my grandfather's baptism record in the same book as Padre Pio. People at the church were very helpful, esp. a nun from the Philippines who translated.
