Thank you for your reply and I hope your research with the people in Pittsburgh pans out. Maybe I am being overly optimistic in hopes that it does but I think it would be too much of a coincidence for two people with the last name of Cardone to end up from Italy in a small coal mining town like Glen Lyon unless there was some more of a connection.
All of my aunts and uncles who may have had information about my grandfather’s (Mauro) brother’s (Dominic) family in Pittsburgh have passed on. The only bit of information I do have is one of my uncles had been corresponding with someone in Pittsburgh named Teresa Belinis (the spelling may be wrong). I believe she was one of Dominic’s children or grandchildren.
