I have been trying to find more about "Joseph Cardone" who was living in Philadelphia in 1910 with my Great Aunt, Maggie Monroe, about whom I also know very little. Maggie was born in Delaware in April, 1877, and died in Philadelphia on April 29, 1911 at the age of 33. She is buried in Delaware with her parents, both of whom were from Ireland. The 1910 Census reported that Joseph Cardone was born in New York around 1878 and that he and Maggie were married for 7 years then. If anyone knows more about him, please contact me. Thanks so much.
I checked with my father. He had an uncle, Dominick Cardone who lived on Brisbin St. There was a sister Grace who lived in the Bronx. Cardone's Tavern was on 95th Av and Allendale St in Jamaica. My father grew up above the bar. Allendale is right next to Brisbin. The families had to know each other. I have to check with some other relatives whose memories made be a little sharper than my father's.

My great grandfather was named Guerino (Warren).

My grandfather Daniel (Donato) had two brothers also named Michael (Michele) and Nick (Nicola). After living in Brooklyn, all three brothers and their father (my great grandfather) Cosimo lived in Jamaica (Brisbin Street) with their sister Mary (Maria)Avallone and her family. My Cardone family tree goes back 14 generations. Do you know who were your grandfather's parents?

Since you brought up Padre Pio, I understand that Padre Pio maternal grandmother was a Cardone. He also had Cardone ancesters from his father side. His personal doctor was Antonio Cardone. He had performed a miracle on a Cardone boy. These are several known examples of his connection with the Cardones from Pietrelcina.

Hello. I looked up the Cardone Family Tree covering 14 generations, going back to 1500's and could not find any Pellegrina Cardone. It will be helpful if you can let me know who were Pellegrina's parents, if known, since the several lines in the family tree had stopped once individuals left Pietrelcina. In the meantime, I thought you might be interested to know that there are five Corbo's in the family tree mostly between 1700 and 1790.

Your great grandmother had immigrate to the USA around the same time as my ancestors. My Great Grandfather, Cosimo Cardone had immigrated to the USA in 1895, his bride, Rose Maria Pennucci in 1899, his mother, Anna Boscaino (Cardone) in 1892, his father, Michele Cardone in 1891. Many Cardones from Pietrelcina had immigrated into the USA during 1890's.

Hope this helps.
Richard
Stumbled on your message thread quite by accident. My maternal great grandmother was Pellegrina Cardone from Pietrelcina. She was married to Domenico Corbo and she emigrated to the US on 5/01/1899 on the ship SS Bolivia. She was accompanied by her son Bonaventura and daughter Rosa ( both Corbo's)and both born in Pietrelcina. Her husband Domenico came over earlier. Any information you may have on Pellegrina Cardone or Domenico Corbo's ancestors would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
My great great grandfather came from Rionero in Vulture. I have confirmed his brother Antonio arrived via Ellis Island in 1904 at age 20. Francesco, or Giovanni Cardone, first went to Carbondale, PA where he met his first wife, Marie Antonnet Carnevale. They moved to Pittsburgh and had 3 children, Daniel, Mamie, and Concetta. I am looking for a family connection to this person.
