Hi Scott

Great to hear from you! I am indeed descended from Teresa, Domenico and Ellen's daughter, who married Joseph Carr and moved to Cardiff. They had at least 9 children who survived into adulthood, including my grandmother Theadora Carr.

I too have quite a bit about Dom & Ellen's descendants, including some old family photos. I'd love to exchange info with you. I'm having trouble tracing Dom back to Tuscany; the 1851 census states Tuscany as his birthplace, and several people have told me there is/was a cluster of Cardosis around the Lucca/Barga/San Pietro in Campo area. A correspondent told me that there was a Domenico Cardosi of the right age from San Pietro who emigrated to England; another correspondent informed me of possible parents for Dom, but I have no documentary proof of either claim.

If you can reply to my new email address - pjdonkin1@hotmail.co.uk - that would be great. I'm swapping service providers for my broadband very soon, so there may be a gap when I can't respond to your emails, but don't despair, I'll get round to it!

looking forward to hearing from you cuz!

Paul Jennings (but everybody calls me PJ)
