Abraham Lopes Cardozo born in the Neatherlands in 1792 and married to Rachel Jessrun Lobo born 1795. Their daughter Esther was born in 1821 and married Salomon Monis in 1845 in the Portugese Israel Synagogue in Amsterdam. They immigrated to London England in 1852 before immigrating to New York City in 1870. Soon after they settled in Newark, NJ.
