William Carey died in the Alamo he was single at the time of his death his father came from New Orleans to retreive his estate ( personal belongings). I am also descended from Carey's Joel Gordon Carey born in Kentucky his father was born in Virginia, his name is unknown to me, but possibly Johnathon
