There are books I have seen that show all the Carey allotments around Grove, Oklahoma. However, I believe that most, if not all were sold soon.
Stonewall Jackson Carey was married to Ora when he died. Ora recieved a penson the rest of her life due to his being a vet of the Spanish American War. He served in Puerto Rico, in the Coastal Artillery.
I have a story about land that Stonewall and his son Bruce had bought together, later after Bruce and Stonewall both died, it was lost due to mortgage default and it ended up at the bottom of Grand Lake.
What is your story?
