My son is a Carlino I need to know where to start

Hello, everyone. My name is Rebecca Colbath (soon to be Carlino). My son Nicholas Carlino is three years old. I have extensive research of my family tree already prepared for me by my grandmother. I want to research my husband-to-be's family tree for my son. I know it takes years, and I hope to have it mostly done for him when he has his own children. I just need to know where to start. I know that my son's great grandfather, JAMES CARLINO (b.11/28/15 in Brooklyn, NY)married a woman named ROSE PROVENZANO (b.05/09/17 in Sicily--village unknown). They lived in New York State, probably Brooklyn. I don't know anything prior to that. If anyone can help me

Domonick Carlino from NYC and Wife Sophie

I am trying to find information about Domonick Carlino's wife. I had found a passenger record from Naples to New York City. Domonick was traveling with my Great Grandmother's brother Antonio Vangone.
Next to the part where they are saying where they are going to stay in NYC, next to Domonick Carlino's name it says that Domonick is going to stay with his brother in law Liberate Pirozzo. Liberate is my Great Grandfather.
I found a 1910 census and a 1920 census that says that Dominicks wife is Sophie. I am trying to figure out if Sophie last name is either Vangone- My great grandmother's Sister or if she is on my great grandfather's side.

any help would be great.

Thanks
Ginny
Carlino from San Pietro Avellana, Campobasso
I've posted on a lot of boards here but I guess I never put a message on the Carlino board. My mother, Benilda Frazzini, is from San Pietro Avellana, Campobasso (now Isernia). Her mother and many other ancestors were named Carlino. In my research, I've seen that the name Carlino was the standard spelling until the last part of the 1800's when the spelling changed to Carlini. For a long period, both spellings were used.

You can look at my web site at:
http://www.silogic.com/genealogy/frazzini.htm
or access my family tree at:
http://www.silogic.com/genealogy/tree/index.htm
I've got over 275 Carlini/Carlino names from San Pietro Avellana in my database and I'm always looking for more.
Carlino Family

I'm from Western, NY. My great-grandfather, Giaccino (Jack) Carlino came over to the US from Bivonia or Bivona Sicily in I believe 1905 through Ellis Island to settle in Warsaw, NY. He had (I think) 3 children, Lena, another girl, I think her name was Jay, and a boy Jack Jr. (my grandfather). Jack married Anna Alessi from Buffalo in 1939. They had 2 children, Ann Guarino, and my father, Joseph. Since my grandparents have died, we have not had much contact with the Alessi family, and I have never met any Carlino relatives. I would really love to contact my family. If you have any info, please contact me, I would really appreciate it!!!! Thanks!

~Ashley Carlino
