Hi, sorry I saw this only now. Right near New Brunswick is Carlow Island off the coast of Maine. The Irish Carlow family is not our albeit possibly distant. Our Carlow's sailed from London on the Priscilla in 1751 but they originated in Dresden Prussia. No Harold has ever turned up in our family line. John Carlow fought in the civil war, got home alive and died of cholera 7 years later. His wife was 1/4 Penobscot Native American which makes perfect sense as there is still a Penobscot reservation on Carlow Island. John Jacob Carlow and his wife Margaret Carlow were the first Carlows to come to this country.
