From the Collections of the Dutchess Co. Hist. Society - Volume IV, Compiled by Helen Wilkinson Reynolds, Page 25, we know that Uriah Carlow married Sarah Viele (daughter of Pieter Viele and Gerritje Freer) at Poughkeepsie, NY on April 05, 1805.

I am trying to link the possiblity that Uriah CARLOW was actually Uriah CALLOW and either the son or grandson of one Stephen CALLOW of both New York City and Dutchess County (Post Revolutinary War Time Frame).

Has anyone ever suspected the possiblity that CALLOW could have evolved into CARLOW?

Does anyone have any information about the name URIAH CARLOW or CALLOW of New York?
