It took a bit to narrow it down since 3 of the Carn brothers were doctors. David's father Dr. Francis Elvin Carn, b. 1822 Orangeburg District,S.C. married 7 April l847 to Georgia native, Mary Ann Hall. Don't know who Mary Ann's parents were . David's uncles, Dr. Julius Marcellus Carn Dr. Lewis M. Carn both served as Surgeons in the 3rd Fla. Inf. Regt. C.S.A. but at differnt times. David's father, Dr. Francis Elvin Carn was one of 4 sons 5 daughters of David E. Carn his wife, Martha Connor, both of Orangeburg District who had moved their family to Leon Co. Fla. in the late l840's. You my wife are multiple cousins, she is related to both David E. Carn Martha Connor. Will come up with some dates more generations for you.
