My grandfather, William Steele Carnahan, was born in Iowa,about 1865, the son of David Carnahan and Sarah Gilmore Carnahan, and lived in Cedar, Mahaska, Iowa in 1880. The family also included sisters Sarah,born about 1853, Amanda. born about 1857. and a brother, Harry, born about 1863. William Steele came to Oklahoma in the later 1800s and settled in Lincoln County and later in Shawnee, OK. On another thread, I believe that the earlier Carnahans were the Kernoghans from County Donegal in Ireland, at least some of them. Does anyone have any connections on my part of the tree? Carl E.
