I can't help you on Elvira Mitchell. Those records were lost but I know she married John Aaron. I don't believe you would find her in the Indiana census records. Don't believe she was ever there. I think she was Va.(or S. Car.) Ky and Ohio.
On Sarah Dickey Carnahan you will find her in 1830 in Logan Co. Ky. and in 1840 in Warrick co. Indiana.
I'm sure you know that Sarah's parents were George and Mary (Polly) Scott. Sarah lived to be 105 and never remarried after John's death in 1845. The Dickey's were Scotish. There is a lot of data on the Dickeys.
I appreciate the offer of help but I'm putting it down. I've more or less got what I wanted to know and have shared it with several people. I had transferred most of my written files to the computor before my problem and I don't want to go back.
