Obit - Indiana County Gazette - Indiana, Pennsylvania - 1 Nov 1893:
Mrs. Ina Hook
Mrs. Ina Hook, wife of Magnus Hook, died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Carnahan, West End, yesterday morning at 2 a.m. Mrs. Hook has been a sufferer from consumption for some time, but her death came with a suddenness not expected. Four years ago she was married to Magnus Hook, from which union one child resulted. Last summer, her health rapidly declining, she went to Mexico, accompanied by her husband, child, and mother, hoping to be benefitted by the change. She returned home a few months later, however, but little improved. She has been under the care of different physicians in town since her return, and for the past few weeks was thought to be better. She was aged 25 years. Her funeral occurs tomorrow at 2, the interment being at Oakland.
Obit - The Indiana Democrat - Indiana, Pennsylvania - 2 Nov 1893:
Mrs. Inez Hook, wife of Magnus Hook, and daughter of John R. Carnahan, of West End, died on Monday evening of consumption, aged about 26 years. Mrs. Hook had been traveling in the south for the past year for the benefit ofher health and seemed much improved on her return home two months ago, but gradually declined and death ended her sufferings. She leaves a kind and indulgent father and mother to mourn the death of their only child, and a husband and one child to mourn her early death.
