I was scanning some old postings and found yours again. Did you ever find your Martha Carothers? I expect if she was in the Hillsdale, MI area that she would be connected to my line of Carothers. There was certainly at least two Carothers families there and perhaps more. My ancestors migrated to Montcalm County, MI by 1878 or earlier. I expect they did that because other Carothers were already there. danstevens@aol.com
