Thanks to a number of postings made between 2000 & 2001, two "living" descendants - actually, first cousins that live in Lima; have made contact with me and we are exchanging information and working on updating the family tree specific to Peru.

Within a couple of days of contact with "living" descendants I was fortunate to come across a website sponsored by the National Library of Peru and was able to find the specific ancestors of our line all the way to the marriage of Fernando de Martin Carrasco and Ana Rodriguez in Spain in the year 1660. That was indeed very rewarding to say the least!!!

In the period of time between 2000 & 2001, I created a site at myfamily.com for this purpose and have posted pictures and the history of the Carrasco name throughout the new world where I am attempting to collect everything and anything regarding people bearing the Carrasco name in world history so that families and individuals in other countries other than Peru, like Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, U.S., etc., may find their roots as well as the origins of the name in Spain which I have researched extensively.
