Mary Ann, I've been doing some digging on your Carrolls. I have some theories to present you with based upon some of the census records I've found. I looked in Ireland, Canada, the Boston,MA area and England. I have collected a huge amount of data which I would be happy to send to you (once we figure out just which form you would like it in) It seems possible Daniel may've been married twice, with two wives having the same first name? I also have entertained the notion that where I found one Carroll ancestor named Patrick D. Carroll the middle initial could be for Daniel and he could have appeared in some places as first name Patrick instead of Daniel. Is your Daniel b.Sept. 11,1861 in Millstreet,Cork,Ireland? One tree lists his parents as Michael and Mary(Sweeney) Is this the correct one?
Another listing found in Canada has: Daniel b.Aug.1837. wife: Mary b.Aug. 1849; children all born in Canada: Julia E, James J., Patrick Daniel, Anthony F. and Daniel. Is this connected? I have lots more, but far too many to put on line now.
I am VERY interested in any Rossleys you may've turned up. Hope we can assist eachother. Linda
