The marriage of Miss Leila Hampton Welch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James G. Welch, to Mr. Walter C. Carroll, was celebrated at 6 o’clock yesterday afternoon in Christ Church, Georgetown, Rev. Albert R. Stuart officiated. The rear of the chancel was decorated with roses, while on either side were palms and plants of pink and white azaleas. The bride entered the church leaning on the arm of her father, preceded by her young sister, Miss Jennie Welch, in an art gown of old rose and carrying a bunch of blush roses. The bride’s gown was of pearl gray bengaline with ruffles of embroidered chiffon, the same shade on the Louis XIV jacket. The open work straw hat of gray was trimmed with pink roses and the flowers carried were La France roses. The groom, attended by his best man, Mr. Crawford, met the bride at the head of the aisle. Mr. McDonald, Mr. Sothoron, Mr. Maloney and Mr. Wilbur were the ushers. Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Carroll left for a Northern trip, upon their return from which they will go to housekeeping on Thirty-third, near O Street.
