I can't believe I can across your message. I've been looking for my great uncles/aunts for about a year now. I kept running into deadends. My mother, Estalene Carroll, is the daughter of Joseph William Carroll, who is the son of Thomas R. Carroll, brother to Joseph A. Carroll & Walter Carroll. Can you help me with any info you have and whatever info I've found that you may not have, I'll be glad to share. Does the other Carroll you've been in touch with have the Chocktaw case number of 983? Have you heard about the Carroll book that was published about 1979/1980? It's supposed to have a lot of info about our Carroll's, and alot about Joe Carroll in it. I haven't been able to find one yet. My Aunt, Clara Mae Carroll-Bryant, was called about it in Dec.1979, but she said she didn't want a copy before she realized what the book was about. Still searching in Wilson to find one. The library copy was stolen about 8-9 years ago.

I would really like to hear from you about the family. When we were growing up, Grandma, wouldn't talk about the family.

Before Grandpa died, he told mom that her Grandma was a full blooded Cherokee. We've got both Choctaw,Chickasaw and Cherokee blood in us.
