My grandfather was James P. Carroll Sr., born in Windsor Locks, CT in 1870. My father was JPC Jr., born in Windsor Locks, in 1912. Those are the only James Carrolls that I know of. James senior's father was Richard Carroll, born circa 1846, in Collon, County Louth, Ireland. His father was Peter Carroll, from County Meath. That's all that I have been able to find on the Carroll line in Ireland.
