I hope you are able to find someone to do this test. I would like to know how the results might compare with those of my cousin who is a descendant of Dempsey,Sr. and his son Alexander of Sampson County, NC. Alexander’s will was written there in 1827 naming two sons I have been unable to find. One of them was Wylie or Weslie... depending on whether the scribble of the second letter was a Y or whether it was an E followed by a LONG S. I wonder if your Wiley might be the son of Wylie (or Reason). The name Wiley is not as common as some, but the name Jesse certainly shows up a lot in the large cluster of Carrolls in Sampson/Duplin Counties. I am descended from Alexander’s son Major Hardy.

My cousin’s result are recorded at FTDNA with the large cluster of Clan Colla Modal. If you do find someone for the test, please post whether you match this group.
