Lillian May Carrow, sister of your father Earvmond Hoffman
Carrow, was my mother. She was first married to Harold Voshell and had four children---one of whom was me. The children (your cousins) were Alice Louise voshell Blades (born May,1928, and is now deceased); Harold herbert Voshell, born April, 1930 was married and had 4 children.
He is also deceased; I, Robert "Bob" John Voshell, am now
78 years old, married and have 2 married daughters Lisa &
Laura---both of whom have 2 sons; and Clarence Paul "Honey"
Voshell who is married and has 4 children.
You must be Patricia Carrow, daughter of Earvmond "Bus" and
Anna Mae. I had pictures of Susan, you, Thomas,Kenneth and Keith (twins) when you were very little. I did reach Thomas a few years ago and sent him a few pictures of his father which I had from my Mother's estate.I have done the family tree of the Voshell family and it includes your immediate family

My address is Robert J. Voshell, 506 Reed Road, Milford, DE 19963. My email address is RJVJAV@verizon.net

I have been doing some research of my father's family and have come up with nothing so far. I am the daughter of Earvmond Carrow and niece of Lillian (Carrow) Roach (I think that was her married name) of Dover, DE. My father died in 1969 in Tampa, FL when I was only 7 years old. He is buried at Bloomingdale Cemetery in Brandon, FL. I have no other knowledge of him nor his sister or any other family members. I only remember meeting Lillian once when I was a young girl, but that's about it. If anyone knows anything else about these Carrows, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Hello Stewart, I am the great granddaughter of Cora Selina Carrow Wood Fox, the sister of Van Carrow. I saw your post and thought I would let you know that I have a picture of Guatha Carrow and a picture of a Bill Carrow. In the picture Bill looks to be in his teens. I'm not sure this is your father. The pictures appears to have been taken in the 30's. The picture belonged to my grandmother, Zoie Wood Small, the daughter of Cora Selina. You may contact me at ssutherland1@verizon.net if you like.

Sandy Small Sutherland

I am the youngest son of Billy Edward Carrow who followed in his footsteps as in the military. My father was killed Febuary 18, 1967 as far as the specifics of his death, I am certain I am more oriented in the cause of his death then what the military misled our family! I have not discuss my dads death since jump school in FT. Benning, GA in 1979. I know we also had a half brother Billy Edward Carrow Jr. approx. 62 to 68 I also have a older sister Diane and older brother Kenny. If you like to discuss this further you may contact me @ scarrow62@msn.com scarrow62@aol.com or scarrow62@yahoo.com Thank you Stewart L Carrow

Terrence - we're family! Cletus Carrow is my Great-Grandmother Marie Carrow Thomas Doty's brother. I have some info on Eli T Carrow from my Grandpa (Marie's elder son) who lived with his grandparents (Eli and Mattie), but he's always been described to me as a very nice, fun loving family man - not one to take shots at folks. My mom describes her Grandpa Carrow like this too. :)

Eli and Mattie came from Jefferson Co., MO but moved up to the Detroit area. I have the names of Eli's parents Narcissus "Narcise" Carrow and Julia C Liverau (both born in MO) but haven't yet found either of their parents names. Does anyone have further info? Thanks!

Marjorie-
My name is Julie Carrow Beckmann. My father was Dean Gregory Carrow, his father was Fred Carrow. My father only remembered the names of Roy and Lizzie and thought that there was another brother whom I realize through my research was Arthur and another sister Nellie. My dad said his grandfather's name was Charles and that he remembered that he couldn't speak any English and he thought that his grandmother's maiden name was Bendin and that she possibly had some American Indian heritage. I hope you are still out there as you certainly know more than I do. You can reach me at jubeck7@yahoo.com.
Hi! I am the 2xgreat niece of Van Buren Carrow. My great grandmother Cora Selina, was his sister. I have a picture of Gatha Carrow. Gatha's name is also listed as the person to contact on Uncle Van's draft registration for WWII. I am just now starting to work on the Carrow side of the family. Trying to research the Carrow's in North Carolina is difficult to say the least. Contact me and I will be happy to share the info that I have. Sandy

John Carrow Patriot

I am thrilled to bits to announce that the DAR has verified my Supplemental yesterday for John Carrow as a "New Patriot".It was something that was assumed would never happen as this family straddled the line between
Maryland and Delaware for at least 100 years.

John Carrow served in Queen Anne MD Militia in 1776 although he lived in Duck Creek DE for part of his young adult life. His father died in 1776 and in 1775 the family was not to be found in Delaware. John Carrow and his
mother, in separate households are again in DE by 1782.

Two things happen here: one is John's Patriot status and one is that the family indeed is the one that is in Queen Anne MD and Dorchester MD after they leave Accomac VA c. 1675.

Kathleen Carrow Ingram( proud of John Carrow)

Re: Carrows from Ilinois/Michigan out there?

I have since discovered that Charles Fred Carrow was born in Michigan City Indiana. His parents were John and Anna who were born in Mecklinburg, Germany.I believe it may be the family on the 1860 census as there was only one Carrow family in Mich City at that time. On that census it lists Aaron, Henry, and Mary,1, as siblings. It also lists a Mary Sabban Carrow, 1.12 as living in the house-did they adopt a girl?? Does this match anyone's family records out there? Thanks!

Carrow probable origin

Hi..I just want to share this:
Our latest DNA test on a Carrow who traces to the earliest in NC indicates a very close relations to those bearing the name MacDonald or Clan Donald.
This puts this line as coming from Antrim Ireland, Kintyre Scotland and LochCarron Scotland where they were a Sept of Clan MacDonald. A historian who is deceased had done research about 10-15 years ago that indicated that John Carrow who is on this continent by 1643 and in Accomack VA by 1666-7 was a descendant of that line.
Kathleen Carrow Ingram

A group has been started at ancestry.com for this family. You do NOT have to be a member of ancestry.com to visit or join.

Our DNA research ( another test is pending) has concluded the Delaware/MD family and the Carrows of NC ( Chocowinity) are related. The 3rd test is for a family who left NC and went to West Virginia.

We have paper trails for these folks and believe all came from Accomac County where John Carrow was Constable in 1667..a Thomas Carew comes to NC in 1663 possibly a brother or son of John-the- Constable. From Accomac they went North into MD and South into NC.
Come and visit..
http://groups.ancestry.com/signup/respond.aspx?invid=hot9rcG...
Kathleen Carrow Ingram

Carrow/Carow/Carreau/Carron, Michigan

Finally found my great grandparents marriage. Napoleon L Carron married Florence Sayer in Bay City, Michigan 1892 Napoleon born Michigan, parents born Canada, Louis Carrow & Catherine Devine. Florence born Ohio, parents Canada, Prosper Sayen and Philomenia Benoit. I know from 1880 census Louis and Catherine had at least 4 children, Andrew Catherine, Josephine and Napoleon, all born Michigan. 1900 census for Bay City has Catherine as a widow, living with her is Henry Carrow, is this on of her children?. Henry is the same age as Andrew was in the 1800 census., I find that many went by their middle names part of the time, hard to trace, any connections, love to share.
