I have been working on my family tree for 2 years off and on ,but I have found out that for some apparent reason since the in of the 1700's some of my relatives were spelled 4 diffrent ways, I don't know if they were guesing how to spell it furthermore they spelled it how it sound to them, or the census clerks spelled it how they thought it should have been spelled. I have lots of names and I'm trying to connect through my great grand father who was George W. Carothers he lived in Burwood Tennessee near Thompson Station him and his wife Annie (Flemming) Carothers they died their and was buried their. My GGrandfathers name was Henry Carothers which I have no information on. My grand fathers name was Fredrick D. Caruthers Sr. his wife was Audrey Brown Caruthers. Fred's brothers and sisters were: Bertha Allen Caruthers from Indiana, Annie Lee Caruthers I don't know much about her last location, Mary Lou Carothers,Jackson Caruthers of Franklin Tenn believe too have been murdered if you have information on his siblings or wife please let me know, jim is deceased from Franklin Tenn, Ulner also named Earl from Burwood Tenn, Lilly Carothers (Clayton) Franklin Tenn, Clifford Caruthers of Carbondale ILL, Emmitt Brown, Tenn and it may have been others because my ggrand father seem to have married at least twice. The first wife unkown at the present time.
