I would like to see a transcription of the will of Col. Wilson Cary. He died on 28 Nov. 1772 at Ceeleys Plantation, Elizabeth City County, Virginia. He had left a will on 10 Oct 1772 at Elizabeth City County, Virginia, which was proved on 25 Feb 1778. It is noted on the Internet that this will was in the county records.

I would appreciate it if someone could post his will on this forum, or provide me with an Internet link to it. I have searched at length on the Internet, have found many references to the will, but not the will itself.

Beside the Ceelys Plantation of 2000 acres, he and his wife, Sarah Pate, also owned the 4000-acre Richneck Plantation in Warwick County, Virginia.

I have a lot of information on this family which I will be pleased to share.

A. J. Pate
Houston, Texas
